Why choose a HomeBuyer report?

  • This report is suitable for houses, flats and bungalows which are of traditional type and construction.
  • If you are purchasing a property and want further information on the property and if you have any particular concerns you would like investigating

When is a HomeBuyer report not suitable?

  • If a property is a listed building, or mid-Victorian aged around 1860, a HomeBuyer report is unlikely to be suitable
  • If a property is of non-traditional construction it may not be suitable for a HomeBuyer report
  • If a property is newly built, any issues with the property can be dealt with through the snagging list made by the developers

What is included in a Building Survey?

This is a full in depth view of the property looking into the construction and condition of the property and any defects apparent at the time of inspection.

Why choose a Building Survey?

  • This report is suitable for properties which are of an older age, unusual construction type or particularly in poor condition.
  • If you are purchasing a property and want further information on the property and if you have any particular concerns you would like investigating

How do I decide which report to opt for?

If you are not sure which report is suitable for the property you are purchasing, our dedicated office team will be more than happy to discuss your options and suggest which may be more suitable for your needs. We can also discuss with the surveyor local to your area for further information to help you make the right decision.

We pride ourselves on being professional and helpful and would never suggest you have a report which does not suit the property you are purchasing and would, if necessary, recommend other reports, which we may not carry out, if this is more suitable for yourself and to meet your needs.
