David Ellison - Director
David started his career as a Mining Surveyor with the National Coal Board, before moving on to work for Leeds Development Agency and then the residential section of Sheffield City Council. David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002, before moving to a small independent surveying practice in Derby, where he carried out residential valuations and surveys in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. Following a brief spell with a large corporate firm of surveyors, David returned to the practice in Derby as a Director, and was incidental in the expansion of the firm into other fields such as energy assessment.
Along with his fellow Director, Jason Staley, David started Pinnacle Surveyors in 2010 from a small office north of Derby. Under the co-direction of David, the company has expanded rapidly since those early days to now have surveying coverage over large areas of England and a 12 strong administration team based close to Derby city centre.
David is married with two sons; his eldest son is now hoping to follow him into the residential surveying business. David is Chairman of the rugby club where he has been a member for nearly thirty years, even still putting on his boots occasionally to strike terror into opposition scrum halves!
Jason Staley - Director
Jason has over twenty five years experience in the residential property market. Starting his career in the late eighties as an estate agent Jason worked throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. In 1995 Jason started his degree at Nottingham Trent University and graduated in 2000 with an Honours Degree in Estate Surveying. Jason started his residential survey and valuation career in 2000 working for a small independent company in Derby covering Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2001. Jason was made a director of the surveying firm in 2002 and was key to the company’s expansion programme. Jason set up Pinnacle Surveyors with fellow director David Ellison in 2010.
Whilst being born and bred in Nottingham, Jason is an avid Derby County fan and tries to watch them as much as possible.
Andrew Sleney - Senior Surveyor
After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Urban Land Valuation, Andrew began his career with an East Midlands based property developer. He then then moved to Leeds Development Agency.
Andrew qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002 whilst working at Bassetlaw District Council where he started out as a General Practice Surveyor. After a short period at British Waterways in their Estates Department he returned to Bassetlaw District Council as Estates Manager.
Andrew has been involved in the residential valuation and surveying sector since 2003 working in a consultancy role. After working in the Asset Management and Valuation section of Derbyshire County Council, Andrew joined Pinnacle Surveyors in 2012 where he has carried out mortgage valuations and Homebuyer Surveys for all the leading Banks and Building Societies and private clients.
In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, attending motor sport events and he intends to start playing the piano again!
Paula Twine - Office Manager
Paula joined Pinnacle Surveyors in March 2011 and has helped grow and maintain close relationships with our lender contacts throughout her time at the company. Paula manages the office staff and feels that communication amongst departments is the key to a smooth operation
Her background of working within the mortgage department of a major Building Society gives her a working knowledge of the requirements of a surveying firm and she makes sure Pinnacle consistently meets the high standard expected.
Outside of Pinnacle, Paula is a keen photographer taking portrait shots of people and animals, landscapes and occasionally weddings!
Gemma - Case Manager
Gemma started working for Pinnacle Surveyors in April 2014 and came to us with a wealth of experience in dealing with clients and customers on a daily basis. As a case manager she has excellent communication and organisational skills which help her and the team on a daily basis.
Outside of Pinnacle, Gemma is an animal lover owning two cats, enjoys spending time with her friends and is an avid reader of fiction books.
Gemma - Case Manager
Gemma has worked with the company since June 2011 and works as a case manager alongside Judith. She is also a member of staff who has worked within a major Building Society prior to joining us and gained excellent communication skills which she uses on a daily basis when speaking with both customers, agents and clients.
Outside of Pinnacle, Gemma enjoys running round after her young son and trips to the theatre.
Joy - Case Manager
Joy joined Pinnacle Surveyors in May 2016 working as a Case Manager booking appointments for several of our surveyors and managing their diaries. Joy has a wealth of experience in customer service and previously worked as a Relief Manager at a care home so is used to dealing with people and queries.
Joy spends most of her spare time with her family and grandchildren, enjoys long walks and on occasion playing badminton.
Judith - Case Manager
Judith has been working with Pinnacle since January 2011 initially starting as a typist but now as one of the case managers, booking appointments and managing diaries for several surveyors. Before working for Pinnacle Surveyors, Judith worked for a well known estate agent where she has gained a vast experience of the property industry.
In her spare time, Judith enjoys swimming and reading.
Michael - Case Manager
Michael joined the company in November 2012 as a case manager for several surveyors. His background of working within a major Building Society has given him experience in dealing with external contacts as well as potential customers and clients.
Outside of Pinnacle, Michael is a member of the Good Companion Stage Society and is regularly involved in productions at local theatres.
Marcia - Senior Typist
Marcia joined Pinnacle Surveyors in August 2011 and excels in typing mortgage valuation reports, HomeBuyer reports and Building Surveys to a quick turnaround. Marcia has enjoyed a variety of administration roles in the past which gives her a good all round wealth of experience for her position within the company.
In her spare time Marcia enjoys reading and countryside walks.
Lesley - Typist
Lesley joined the company in November 2013 as a typist of mortgage valuations, HomeBuyer reports and Building Surveys. She previously worked as a PA and had various administration duties which are of great benefit to our typing team.
Outside of work, Lesley enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, keeping fit and reading.
Abbie - Junior Administrator
Abbie joined us in February 2016 as our Junior Administrator helping with general office administration and assisting with new incoming work. Abbie has previous experience working with the general public which all helps with dealing with our customers.
In her spare time Abbie enjoys spending her time listening to music (mainly Ed Sheeran), eating pizza and spending time with family and friends.
Joe - Accounts Administrator/Trainee Surveyor
Joe started working for Pinnacle in September 2015 after successfully completing a Diploma in Surveying Practice. Joe is now working on accounts in the office whilst studying for a degree in Real Estate Management and working towards MRICS accreditation. Joe’s previous experience of working within a local government property department has provided him with an in depth knowledge of both administration and building matters.
Although lots of Joe’s spare time is spent studying, he enjoys socialising with friends and reading.
Rebecca - Administrator
Rebecca joined the company in January 2014 as our administrator and has since moved on to dealing with all queries received relating to reports we have carried out. Rebecca has built relationships with our surveyors and clients to ensure queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
In her spare time Rebecca enjoys going out for meals and spending time with family and friends.
