Posted on Thursday, January 29, 2015

We are continuing our 'Meet The Team' series of Blog posts to allow our website visitors the chance to find out a little more about our staff.

Today we introduce Gemma Sheldon, and we asked her a few questions.

Background/Previous experience:

I previously worked for a regional Building Society in the branch network for 3 years and subsequently at the Head Office for 6 years.

At the Head office I worked within the Mortgage Post Completion department and I undertook such tasks as Transfers subject to mortgages, Releases of land,  Deaths of mortgage holders, Term changes, and Rate Changes etc.

How long have you been working for Pinnacle Surveyors?

I will be celebrating my four year anniversary with Pinnacle in June this year.

What does your job entail? Which surveyors do you look after?

Along with my colleague Judith with whom I job share, I currently book for our surveyors based in Gateshead, Durham, Hull, Luton, St Neots & Kettering.

My daily role mainly involves diary management and booking appointments (and answering the odd surveyor & customer query.)

What do you enjoy about working at Pinnacle Surveyors?

That no day is ever the same and I have learnt that whilst dealing with the general public to always expect the unexpected!

What attracted you to working with Pinnacle Surveyors?

I have always enjoyed working in the mortgage/property industry as it is so varied and is constantly changing to suit the market needs. The change therefore into the world of surveying seemed to be the next progressive step for me.

Working for Pinnacle Surveyors, which is an independent firm you gain a great feeling of job satisfaction as the company develops and we share great camaraderie within the office.

What do you do outside of work?

As I have a young family, most of my time is spent playing dinosaurs or lego at the moment! However, given a chance I do enjoy a good book, eating out and visiting the theatre.
